Educational Requirements for Bangladeshi Students

 

1. GPA obtained in S.S.C and H.S.C must have at least a total of 9.00 and must not be below 4.00 in any examination.

2. GPA must be minimum 4.00 in Biology in HSC.

 

Equivalence certificate of mark sheets of A and O level national and international Students should be obtained from the office of the Director General of Health Services, (Directorate General Medical Education) Mohakhali, Dhaka, and must be submitted with the application form.

 

Selection for admission is controlled by the D.G Health, Mohakhali, Dhaka.

  • Original copy and photocopy of SSC + HSC Mark Sheet

Foreign Student Admission Procedure

East West Medical College & Hospital is a registered institution permitted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh and affiliated to Dhaka University and recognized by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC). The college offers 5 years MBBS course and 1 year internship as formulated by BMDC.

 

A) Equivalence of Foreign Degree:

  • Must have passed qualifying examination of A’ level or equivalent examination.
  • 0′ level or equivalent examination passed not before 2021.
  • A’ level or equivalent examination passed in the year of 2023 or 2024.
  • A’ level or equivalent exam must be completed within 3 years of ‘O’ level or equivalent exam.
  • Minimum aggregate GPA in O’ level or equivalent and A’ level or equivalent examination:7.00 (seven)
  • Minimum GP in Biology: 3.50 (At least 60% marks) out of 5.0 scale in ‘A’ level or equivalent exam.

B) For calculating GPA against the percentage of marks obtained in O’ level or other equivalent exam only top 5 subjects are considered.

C) For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in A-level or equivalent exam, only 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are considered.

D) Application Form: Duly filled online application forms in the specific template as per the Bangladesh Government rules.

  • All certificates must be duly attested by the competent authority, i.e. Education and the Foreign Ministries of the respective countries.
  • Successful applicants have to produce all academic certificates, admit cards and mark- sheets/transcripts in original at the time of their admission.

E) Tuition Fees: Information regarding tuition fees charged by Non-Government Medical Colleges/ Dental Colleges or units can be obtained directly from the colleges concerned.

F) Each applicant must send USD 100.00(One hundred) as non-refundable equivalence fee by Telegraphic Transfer (T.T)/SWIFT Code through

G) Only online Applications will be accepted.

H) Admission policy of MBBS/BDS course 2025 by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) will be applicable.
